On leaving the port you come to a roundabout, take the second exit and follow green signs(N13) to Caen. There are two more roundabouts at which you go straight on, still following green signs. This will take you up the hill on the new bypass, this will swing around till you are coming down hill (with Cherbourg in front of you) to a major roundabout at which you turn left.
At the top of the hill turn left again at the roundabout on to N13. This will have taken you 10 —15 min.
Follow N13 till the second exit ( D2) for Valognes, turn right up hill for a short way turn left on to D24, road sign says Pont L’Abbé, Picauville.
Follow this winding country road for 10-15 min till you come to a Major road ahead sign at which you have to stop, turn left towards Pont L’Abbé, turn left at junction, up the hill to the square on your right…...we are the large house with white railings and a large tree in the front court yard, on your left. |
